My passion for antiques, jewelry and fashion with a particular love of all things Victorian began when I was a child and my mother gave me the book “The Secret Garden” by Frances Hodgson Burnett.  The “Secret Garden” was a place where a young girl found great excitement, wonder and delight behind a big heavy iron door that had been closed for many years.  Finding the key, she fit it into the keyhole and turned it.  She pushed open the iron door and found herself inside the most amazing, beautiful and mysterious place yet at the same time everything was silent and sadly neglected, just a thing of the past. Her passion is to restore the beauty the garden once held while making it “new” once again for all to enjoy.

This is how I feel when I find a wonderful piece of vintage jewelry. I unlock the key to a time past of decades of fashion representing lifestyles of the eras, and I can’t wait to bring this bit of history forward by finding a place for it in today’s fashion. My passion is to re-invent the costume vintage brooch, buttons, dress or shoe clip, belt buckle…into a necklace, bracelets or earrings so fashionable women today can think back in time carrying a bit of history forward.

I would love to hear what your “Secret Garden” is…
